Step 1
Part the hair in the centre of the head.
Using the top of the ear and highest point of the head as a reference, part the hair from the centre parting, finishing at the top of the ear.
Clip this section of hair back out the way and repeat on the other side, and focus on the front section of the hair.
Step 2
To add texture to the front section of the hair, use Texture Maker on the centre parting to give it the grip needed for you to manipulate the hair in the right direction.
Then use Dark Oil styling oil on the mid lengths and ends to maximise the lightweight shine.
You can also add a bit of Microweb Fiber for some additional texture if it’s needed.
Step 3
Take a small section of hair from either side of the middle parting at the centre back of the head.
Using a knot braiding technique, create a knot, then incorporate another knot, and tie these two knots together.
Continue this process from the centre back to the front of the head.
Step 4
Once you reach the front of the head, go back on yourself, knotting along the hairline using the same technique, until you reach the top of the ear.
Mirror the same technique on the other side of the head.
Step 5
For the remaining section of hair at the back of the head, create a ponytail with a beautiful shine using the Dark Oil Silkening Fragrance Mist for a sleek lightweight finish.
Layer this with the Shaper Zero Gravity Light Hairspray to give you that hold and craft the ponytail securely in place with a piece of elastic.
Step 6
Go into the hair afterwards and deconstruct the braids to create an aggressive editorial look, taking the fragrance mist again to really bring out the detail.
To finish off the look, take a small piece of leather and wrap it around the ponytail to create a focal point from the back.
